Yakima TV reports on
DTC salvage job

In late August, a television station out of Yakima, WA (KIMA-TV) ran a story about the wood we've been salvaging from the city's old Coop building. "Old Wood Finds New Homes" features DTC riding to the rescue to save the good wood. At your service, and on the web in print and video.

Hoping to see you in Maine
or Mpls this November

Nov. 7-9 we'll be on the East Coast for the Timber Framers Guild conference in Rockport, Maine. Side trips are always welcome, so let's get together.

Nov. 11-13 we'll have a booth amid the vendors at the AIA Minnesota Conference in Minneapolis. Look for the rustic display.

Peter tenting it

Peter got some R&R this summer Up North. Thanks all for the kindnesses sent his way.

Some in-house designs, for inspiration and for sale

1) Attainment Block This hunk of old-growth sits as daily reminder that perfection is within reach. Deceptively simple. Deeply inspired. These pieces are each one-of-a-kind end-cuts from our best and biggest old-growth salvage. Most transcendent floating on a concealed base. Solid Reclaimed Douglas Fir, tung oil finish. 12"x24"x36"

2) Group W Bench Shaped from salvaged glu-lams, our bench simply shows off the strength and length of this engineered wood. Great for commercial lobbies and sheltered walkways. Everybody's welcome (along with Arlo) on the Group W Bench. Finished with tung oil. 9-ft. long, 7"h x 22"w.

3) Chunky Monkey Cubes Fat, 12" cubes of solid salvaged goodness, each an original character both functional and playful. Chunky Monkeys work best in batches, loosely stacked or strewn with seat cushions. Finished with tung oil. Choose between solid Douglas Fir and solid Heart Pine.
